С 9 по 10 марта в словацком Шаморине прошел кубок Европы по метаниям. В кубке приняли участие 9 российских метателей, которые завоевали по итогам турнира три медали.
Золото в метании молота среди юниорок до 23 лет завоевала Софья Палкина, с серебром уезжает из Шаморина толкатель ядра Максим Афонин, бронза — у молотобойца Евгения Коротовского.
