Thiais enjoys a favorable situation, near the RER line C (station of Choisy-le-Roi), crossed by the bus in own site Trans Val-de-Marne (TVM) and the tram 7 which connects Villejuif to Athis-Mons. At the intersection of major roads, Thiais has a diversified and hierarchical road network allowing national as well as inter-suburbs or small local trips.

The TVM crosses the city via the Avenue du Luxembourg, rue des Alouettes, avenue de Versailles and avenue Georges Halgoult, and connects the two main employment centers that are the Rungis railway station market and the Regional Commercial Center Belle Épine on the one hand, and the new Créteil with its administrative and commercial equipment on the other hand.

The T7 tram, which connects Villejuif (Louis Aragon) to Athis-Mons (Porte de l'Essonne) in about thirty minutes, passes through Thiais. The stations are Brittany, Auguste Perret, Porte de Thiais and La Belle Epine.

Buses 393 (Thiais-Crossroads of Resistance - Sucy-Bonneuil RER), 185 (Porte d'Italie - Choisy South), 183 (Porte de Choisy - Orly-Terminal South Airport) and 103 (Veterinary School of Maisons- Alfort - Rungis Marché International) also serve Thiais.

The Noctilien line N71 connects Saint-Maur-des-Fossés 24 hours a day with MIN de Rungis via Thiais.
