Mrs. Zhong Ling, Master of Beijing Sport University, is a former rhythmic gymnastics national team member, and used to be Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Queen. With her name synonymous with Chinese and even Asian rhythmic gymnastics, she is the most representative legend of Chinese rhythmic gymnastics with her wonderful original movements adding new Chinese elements to this Western sport. Mrs. Zhong Ling used to retain national champion of rhythmic gymnastics for 10 years from 1995 to 2004, won individual double champion in 2002 Busan Asian Games. She is also the only athlete who had the admission ticket to individual events in rhythmic gymnastics of Athens Olympic Games, and owned 4 “Zhong Ling’s original bonus point movements”. Because of her unique technical style, the media once evaluates that “Zhong Ling has added new Chinese elements to this Western sport”. Although Zhong Ling announced retirement after the 10th National Games, she is still the representative of China’s rhythmic gymnastics.
